Custom Home Construction
EJ Home builds new houses from the ground up in Lakeville and the surrounding Litchfield Hills. Work is carried out under EJ Home's New Home Construction Contractor registration, and the same small team that plans the house stays with it through framing, mechanicals and finish.
Recent new construction has leaned toward efficient, quietly modern homes — deeper wall framing, mineral-wool insulation, heat-pump heating and cooling, metal roofing and durable materials chosen to last.

Residential Renovation
Most of EJ Home's work is renovation — houses from the 1900s, 1930s, 1950s and 1970s brought up to date without losing what made them worth keeping. That has meant new roofs, siding, windows, wiring, plumbing and mechanical systems alongside new kitchens, bathrooms and floors.

Design & Planning
Planning happens in-house. EJ Home's master draftsman prepares the drawings, and layout, proportion and materials are worked through together before construction begins — so decisions are made on paper rather than mid-build.
This is where a renovation stops being a list of tasks and becomes a plan: how rooms connect, where light comes from, what gets kept and what goes.

Interior Design
EJ Home works with an interior designer based in Sharon, Connecticut, whose work is grounded in the natural materials and light of Litchfield County. Interiors are resolved alongside the construction drawings so that cabinetry, tile, plaster, lighting and hardware all arrive as one idea.
The result is rooms defined by natural textures, layered neutrals and carefully curated details — designed to feel calm and to last.

Property Redevelopment
EJ Home buys, designs and remakes property. The company's strength lies in making the old new: bringing investment properties back to life and turning them into modern, well-built homes rather than letting them erode.

Project Management
