With Character.
We build and renovate houses in a part of Connecticut where buildings are expected to last. That shapes how we work: slowly enough to get the details right, and carefully enough that the details still hold up in ten years.
Every project starts on paper — layout, proportion, light and materials resolved before anyone picks up a hammer. Our own draftsman prepares the drawings, our designer works through the interiors alongside them, and our carpenters build what was drawn. Because the same small team carries a house from first sketch to final punch list, decisions do not get lost between trades.
We came to building through property — buying, planning and remaking houses of our own before we ever did it for a client. It taught us what actually matters in a renovation: honest scope, real schedules, and someone who answers the phone.

Four bedrooms, four bathrooms, 2,876 square feet on 3.44 acres of open and wooded land.
Step inside to breathtaking views and an open living space, where the fireplace, living room and kitchen create a warm and inviting atmosphere. The dining area opens onto a seventy-foot cedar deck, and a bluestone patio extends the outdoor living beyond it.
Two primary suites, one on each level, have ensuite bathrooms and walk-in closets. The bathrooms are finished with Venetian plaster, radiant heat and double vanities.
The house was fully renovated: a new kitchen, updated mechanicals, new Marvin windows, a new roof, all-new plumbing, new hardwood floors and a finished basement.

Get one of those wrong and you notice it every day. We would rather spend the extra week on the detail that nobody photographs — the door that closes properly, the floor that stays flat, the room that holds the afternoon light.

EJ Home was founded in 2020 by Jusztina Paksai and Andy Molnar. Seven people now carry the work — drafting, design, carpentry, finance and technology.

Founder & Project ManagerInitially from Hungary, Andy's shared passion for community, hard work and hospitality prompted him to start EJ Home LLC.
Jusztina Paksai
Founder, Designer & Real Estate Sales PersonOriginally from Hungary, Jusztina moved to the United States to fully immerse herself in real estate. She has a graduate degree in Social Work and additional qualifications in the real-estate field, such as construction and property management.
